LOCAL FOOD, WINE AND COFFEE
“Barwon Heads has the best, most interesting set of cafes, restaurants and food outlets in the entire area“ – David Littleton, food expert (also prop. of Seahaven Village)
And it just keeps getting better. We’re told there are 14 places in town to get a cappucino!!
And our restaurants and gourmet food outlets keep getting better e.g. Peppercorn Foods with an ever increasing range of new gourmet lines, Annie’s Provedore with excellent prepared foods to take home, Starfish with yummy things for breakfast and lunch and Mangroves with fresh local fish, home made style burgers, soups, great coffee and cakes and more – these places are exceptional!!
+ the Bellarine Taste Trail and great restaurants like At The Heads, Jack Rabbit, Terrindah Estate and Oakdene – world class wine and food at our doorstep and just down the road to the west we have Brae and Mt Duneed Estate.
Some great midweek options (combine with one of our great midweek Barwon Heads getaway packages & walk to the restaurants)
At 48 Hitchcock – a fusion of cafe style & restaurant. The big sundeck is the perfect place for a coffee or drink with an everchanging tapas menu from 11.30 am daily (or retreat to the fireside on colder days). The tasting plates are one of our favourite things. …….. Ph 5254 3376 or www.BeachHouseBarwonHeads.com.au
